Owen Tan has been specializing in the design of custom residences, residential remodels and interior design since 1985. He began his practice on the island of Maui where he designed many residences in the resort area of Wailea. In 1993 he moved his practice to the California Bay Area where he designed residences in Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley, Berkeley and Oakland. His office moved to Southern California in 2007. 

Owen believes in designs that are classic, timeless and appropriate in their context. He believes that designs should respond appropriately to their site, surroundings and the needs of their occupants. His floor plans function and flow naturally while integrating the outdoors with the indoors. Having built three new residences, as well as remodeling five, he has personal experienced what his Clients go through in the design and building process, both financially and emotionally. With this experience he can guide his Clients; helping them to make the right decisions.
